Five tips for choosing cinema lighting
When to reach for a SkyPanel and when for a 600d — a short guide.
1. For faces always pick a soft source — a SkyPanel or a Diva-Lite.
2. For sunlight through a window use a strong hard source: an LS 600d or an Evoke 1200.
3. Do not mix colour temperatures within a scene — it creates problems in post.
4. Working outdoors? Check the IP rating.
5. Calculate generator capacity in advance — a 1200W fixture needs headroom.
